Linda Doll Cluxton has been a professional photographer since the ’70s. She has been fortunate to have a wide career range. From large format studio work, to on-site editorial shooting, to capturing the essence of teenaged boys attending Christ School where she was Director of Communications, photographer and magazine editor for 19 years. She was responsible for the advertising and print collateral and also created the school’s first two websites.
Always game for the next adventure, Linda has had extensive field experience, shooting varied subjects in motion. Her photographs of jazz greats shot in small clubs were featured in a documentary. Her pictorial essay on tugboats is part of the permanent collection at the South Street Seaport Museum in NYC. Linda has a knack for capturing the moment in fast paced, challenging conditions; whether they are motorcycle racers at the moment of truth, athletes in the zone or candids.
Her photos have appeared in the New York Times and AP (print and online), Christ School Magazine, Capital at Play Magazine, national motorcycle editorial and ad campaigns, Motorcyclist, Vintage Views, Cycle Guide among others. Linda lives in Hendersonville, NC and shoots editorial photography, casual portraits, food, children and of course… motorcycles. She attended the Ed Bargy Racing School, has her racing license and has raced competitively since 2007 with the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Foundation.
