Many years ago I trained in page layout because I wasn’t happy with how one agency used my photos. I thought the subject of the photos deserved to be housed with better typography or composition so I learned and trained, and have loved working with print material for decades. A handsome magazine spread, catalog or brochure is a delight to hold and pursue, and it communicates so much more effectively.

For 19 years I was the Director of Communication for Christ School in Arden, NC and produced 2-3 school magazines per year. When I started the magazine was 12 pages and two color; when I left it was 72 pages, full color and perfect bound. I did the graphic design and most of the photography and writing as well.
